Think Logistics wins in Future Skills Category at SHD Logistics Awards 2016

shd-award-winners-picOn Thursday 15th September 2016, the team from Think Logistics proudly accepted the SHD Logistics Award for Future Skills, presented by leading comedian Mark Watson in front of 600 industry professionals.

The event, which took place at Resorts World Birmingham, celebrated excellence in the logistics industry across eleven main categories. Think Logistics ,represented by Abbey Logistics and Career Ready won for its commitment to Future Skills sponsored by Unipart Group.

The evening commenced with a sparkling reception, loudly interrupted by an incredible array of high energy beats and rhythms in a lively interactive performance from a squad of dhol drummers, which accompanied guests to their seats. Rhythms ran-on as posh rapper Chris Turner took to the stage to deliver blisteringly quick improvised raps ahead of the Design4Safety Awards which were presented by James Clark, secretary general of BITA.

After dinner Mark Watson entertained the logistics industry with his intelligent comedy before acknowledging achievement in 11 main categories including: Corporate Social Responsibility, Future Skills, Environment/Sustainability, Growth, Innovation, Innovation Technology, New Facility, Safety, Warehouse Efficiency, Operations (Large), and Operations (SME).

Other winners on the night across categories included : PD Ports, Lyreco UK,, Palletways UK, Clipper Logistics with John Lewis, Lakeland, Culina Group with General Mills, O’Donovan Waste Disposal, Bohler-Uddeholm (UK) and United Biscuits.
