Business on the Move

Business on the Move is an educational board game designed to excite and inspire players of all ages about business and global supply chains. It is unique in the way that sponsors feature in the game as themselves, making playing more realistic and enjoyable. Business on the Move also has a learning zone, where activities to support subjects in which logistics can feature, such as Geography and Business Studies, can be found.

Career Ready

Career Ready is a UK-wide charity, linking employers with schools and colleges to open up the world of work to young people. Career Ready gives students from lower income families the confidence, skills and networks to achieve their potential. By volunteering for Career Ready, employers get a rewarding opportunity to develop their own presenting, coaching and management skills and find the next generation of talented employees. NOVUS is a not-for-profit organisation operating under the umbrella of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT (UK)).

NOVUS focuses on undergraduate students studying four-year sandwich courses with a business, logistics, operations management or supply chain component.

NOVUS undergraduates have a passion for logistics and supply chain management and are interested in pursuing a career in a related field.


Careers that Move

With over 735,000 jobs available in a profession that underpins many others, the passenger transport and travel sector represents an enormous opportunity for young people. Careers that Move provides a comprehensive career map and case studies, useful for those wanting to work in transport.


CILT (UK) is the membership organisation for professionals involved in the movement of goods and people and their associated supply chains. CILT (UK) offer a free careers service, which includes advice on creating a CV and covering letter, and careers information for ages 14+.

Geographical Association

Alongside CILT (UK) and the FTA, the Geographical Association have created “Love Logistics: a life without logistics”. In addition to eight lesson plans for different sectors, there is an introductory video, explaining the value of logistics.
